dacris2000
Warning: Angry rant ahead! Well, after spending about 4 hours trying to get the NVIDIA RAID drivers to load in Vista, I've given up. The SATA controller installs fine if you provide MSIMG32.DLL. However, the RAID driver simply refuses to install. It just hangs. To NVIDIA: You better be releasing Vista chipset drivers soon... EDIT: I suppose I could install to a spare IDE drive but that just complicates things... I think I'll wait and see if Nvidia reacts. They released video drivers for Vista, why not chipset drivers??
et1
This is probably pointless but I am just responding to confirm my own problems with the NVRaid and windows Vista x64 install. Just curious dacris2000, maybe I missed it, are you installing the 32-bit or 64-bit version of vista? Also while it appears to hang while installing the NVRaid drivers, if you give it enough time it eventually comes back with an error about being unable to find the specified files. For information purposes I have attempted to install the raid drivers through floppy, and I have tried several x64 versions of the drivers which work on windows xp x64. If I get time I might also attempt to see if there is any difference when attempting to install the drivers off of a cd rather than floppy. I hope there comes a fix for this soon. Thanks everyone. et1
Just curious, has anyone tried the nforce 6.67 drivers that have been released. I would try myself but I apparently cant even do that anymore. After booting into windows vista setup, it gives an error about "unable to gather information on disks". Which is before I am even given the option to install 3rd party drivers.
