Vista 64-bit smaller than 32-bit ?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I'm about to download Longhorn Beta 1 (legally of course) and I want to know one thing:

Why is the 64-bit ISO smaller than the 32-bit ?

Since I have an Athlon64 FX-55, I want to get the 64-bit version. Are there less features in the 64-bit version ?

Thanks in advance !

I honestly cant say for certain, but one thing i noticed when i installed 64bit after installing the 32bit version was that the 32bit version had a supplemental driver package thing which took up some definite space (not sure on exactly, over 200MB)..

I dont think there is any divergence between the two as far as features go..

Edit: looking at the DVD's, there is a lot more drivers on the 32bit like i suspected.. which explains the difference.
