commando677
In playing with Vista Beta 1 I have noticed that windows explorer likes to hang randomly when accessing anything from CDs to the HD. For instance I can open windows explorer just fine then I go and click on a folder and it will hang for a good 2 minutes. I don't know if Vista is indexing something or scanning something but it never hangs in the same place twice its wierd. I have even tried it on a different computer with the same result. So anyway I was wondering if anyone was having the same problems or if there was some fix out there. Besides these random hangs the rest of Vista seems great for me. stockwiz
make sure to leave the feature to launch all folder windows in a seperate process disabled. This will cause major problems with freezing.

soldier1st
it's best to have the option turned on for added stability, the speed decrease is minimal.even on an older pc.i always have it turned on,what if an app screws up?then all your windows get screwed, but with it turned on you can close just that one window and continue your work.
