ev0|
It's beta 1 man. Not even half the stuff is in yet, and there's stuff in now that won't make it to beta 2. Welcome to the club.
Commodore Max
I just installed Vista, and I found out the neat Alt-Tab effect there was in 4071 is gone ! Now it just shows the regular little window like XP. I hope it'll be in the next builds ... Anyone know if it will ? Attached a screen ...

Hankyone
beta2 will have about 90% of all the features implemented so expect that in beta 2!
Jeremy1
expect that in beta 2!586327441 Not quite. More like, if it appears in Beta 2, then expect that in RTM.

fro0ty
alt-tab is one of the most useful things in XP, it makes so many peoples lifes sooo much easier
+virtorio MVC Posted August 4, 2005 MVC Share Posted August 4, 2005 Looks pretty good, only I wonder if it's as useful in practice as what it is visually impressive. Looks like lots of possibility for smaller windows being hidden by larger ones, and if that's the case there is no easy to tell how many TAB presses you will need to get to it. But I'm sure they'll come up with something good, they'll have to if they want to compete with the usefulness of Expose (on MacOS X).
Crimson Behelit
OT - I'd argue that ALT-F4 is used more than alt-tab.

_I am Reptar
Hard to understand why somebody would "tattle" on another person for a simple little statement like that.Wasn't even any foul language involved or anything. Folks is too over-sensitive perhaps. 586328247 I know eh
Bearded Kirklander
As long as I can turn this uber-graphical version of ALT-TAB off and get back to a normal productive feature without all the GUI nonsense, I'll be fine with it. :)

Angel Blue01
Alt-tab has remained basically the same since Win 3.1. I'm glad they were improving it. Maybe in RTM.

+Dick Montage Subscriber² Posted August 5, 2005 Subscriber² Share Posted August 5, 2005 Angel Blue01: Except the Alt+Tab powertoy! And I actually like the standard ALT+Tab, it's quick and it works. Why change?
Hais
doesnt mean it needs to be changed. im sure that its possible to have a an option- especially on slower machines. but i wouldnt say no to a 3d alt-tab, providing its just as quick...
