Well there are a few things u can do .. Deamon tools went fine for me ..... but on right clikc Properties ...lookk fo rthe Compatibility mode ... then check "run this program for Xp compadibility" that shoud do it ...

So far ive been able to install ... HL2, Daemon Tools, msn 7, Excusion, winamp 5, Flash fxp, winrar, etc ... just to name a few ...

In terms of Zonealarm....few to none firewall or A/V programs work with Vista as of yet. So far the only firewall that works is the built in one.

Some have said that they can get NOD32 to work but it takes 100% cpu useage

I extract it to a folder with Winrar ::winrar installs fine :: then right click the setup, then use the compatiblity mode .. works for some others no.

Well i murdered my first install, everything was going so well, wireless installed itself omg! So i decided to install NOD32 and MSN 7.5 beta, rebooted and it just kept locking up after loading msn and nod32. Seems pretty limited so far as to what we can install on Vista.

Successful: Philips 605 sound card (utility doesn't work tho), Teamspeak 2, Winamp 5, Download Express, BitTornado.

Failures: WoW (the installer on disc crashed Vista entirely :()

A lot of things just seem to randomly kill it. Not complaining though, MS are going the right way with this i think (Y)

check "run this program for Xp compadibility" :: also msn 7.5 should NOT be used as it is very beta and does not work correctly ..... just use the one that works with this.. better that was.. who knows what will happen when 2 betas are put together
