Getting a Graphics Card... I Need Suggestions

Recommended Posts

Well I decided on getting a A7V333 mobo for the comp I'm building... and I'm deciding on what graphic card I should get till the NV30 comes up. Should I go with a GeForce3 Ti 500 or should I get something else for now? Whatever you suggest I'd like to know the brand as well.

Well thanks in advance !!! :D

depends on how much you are willing to spend, if i had lotsss of money, i would have gotten ge4 ti series, but i got a ge3 ti 200, it also depends on if you play games alot, and what kind of games, if you just play solitare and do word processing, ya might as well get a cheap tnt2 or something crappy like that

I'm planning on playing games on this pc... right now I just need a card that will run games such as Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament... perhaps UT2003 as well, as you can see I play mainly FPS games and also games such as Marrowwind I just need a card that would sooth my gaming needs untill the NV30 graphic chipset comes out.

I reccomend the geforce 4 ti4600. I believe the ti 4200 is under 200 dollar. Try to buy the geforce from a vendor like Visiontek or Pny because they offer a warrarrty. Pny offers a lifetime warranty.

I'm getting a new computer soon and it has the Geforce 4 MX card with it.

Do u think I should upgrade the card after I buy it? ( when I have the money) .

Or do u think the GF4MX should do ,as I am upgrading from a Voodoo3, so anything that displays stuff good and runs fast will do.

Is there some screen shots of games running on a GF4MX?

I would not get the GF4mx. The GF3 Ti's are better than the GF4mx's

Try to get a GF4 Ti, if money allows..

Where are you buying from?

I will think about getting a Geforce 3 Ti 200 as there not that expensive now.

But the GF4 MX should do until I have the cash.

How is game performance with the card, good/bad compaired to the voodoo?

even a Geforce 2 kills a voodoo... your 4MX will make you satisfied, but a Geforce4 Ti will make you HUNGRY ;)

If you are looking for something really good, then I'd suggest a GF4 Ti4600; whereas, if you are looking for more bang for your buck, then a GF4 MX440 should do the job quite well. In both cases, it should have AT LEAST 64 MB of memory and they should be from brands you trust (PNY, eVGA, etc.)

Talking about GF4 MX440... I managed to get 60 fps on JKII on 1280x1024 even with everything turned on...
