caustiK Posted July 3, 2002 Share Posted July 3, 2002 just to let you know if you're considering raid: if you're planning on using a raid-0 striped configuration, you can't "just upgrade" without backing everything up, setting up the stripe and reinstalling. of course if you don't mind that (a lot of people reformat frequently), it's no big deal. but i know i've run into a situation where i had about 80gb of data and i had to replace my hd's - hard to back up that much stuff if you don't have a spare hd or cash ;) just depends on what you wanna do/if you have a lot of files, etc. :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

(i have both maxtor 60 gig ata133, raid0 and its great) oh, and maybe you can use the WD for a backup/storage drive... goodluck, and let me know have you like the a7v333, i currently have the gigabyte 7vrxp .. and its kinda weird.. but, i still need to configure everything.
