darkhooda
I can't think of any way to get the networking working. I downloaded hnetwiz.dll, and ran it, and I can access the other computers, but when the other WinXP computers try to access my computer (\\Vistapc), a dialog comes requesting a account and password. How do I make it so that I don't get that?
MidnightDevil
Create a account on vista with the same username and password that you have on XP, maybe will work.
seltzer
Or you can enable the Guest account and give it permissions on your shares. I don't remember if you also need to change something in the group policy. I had the same problem, and then realized that the networking wizard does nothing... you have to do it all manually. Look at the settings on your XP computers and just copy the settings.
darkhooda
How do you copy the settings from the XP computers? What files or programs do you have to get? Thanks.

Angel Blue01
Or you could just type a user name and password from the Vista machine when the XP pc prompts you to (such as administrator).
