I don't think I'll be able to get in on the chat. Could you ask them if they plan to add a "scan individual files" feature, a way to backup to hard drives, and most importantly if they plan to improve real time protection. Thanks in advance.

I'll mention that along with a few other things.

I'm a MVP, I have so many tester softwares including OneCare and I'm not impressed, sucks a lot of memory and will be for pay not free

No it doesn't ...

Its not hard on memory at all, and it's integration is pretty tight.

Yep, its going to be subscription based. Firewall, backup, etc ...

I hope they wise up, and lose that but I dont think so.

Too bad, Ill be trying it for a month as a tester, and then go back to Kasersky.

I'm disappointed that I never received the chat invitation. Did anyone from Group 3 receive it?

By the way, I sincerely doubt that Microsoft Antispyware is getting dropped. I read the quote as more of a, "Your beta expires, so don't worry about it because OneCare will have antispyware technology built in too, which will be supported as a OneCare subscriber."

Which company did Microsoft takeover/buy so they have an AV in this OneCare thingy? I assume they did this and not actually program an AV from scratch.

Ahh ok, never heard of them :/

M$ has lost their inovative edge. If they want to put out an anti-virus product, they buy a small complany that made one fairly decent. Then they put a windows flag, a shield, colorful graphics, and the words "BETA" on it, and people drool.

Bah.

Im testing it, but do I trust it? No way.

Kaspersky all the way.

Hmm. I was approved 3 weeks ago, and they never sent me an invite to chat either.

.. Maybe because they know Ill liven up the party! lol.

OSLanguage ...

re-install ServicePack2.

Then make sure you have ALL of the required updates for the .Net framework.

That should fix it.

Im saying re-install SP2 because it could be some corrupt files snuk in there, and there is no EASY way to replace those. Just re-install and youll be fine.
