LTJGH Posted August 10, 2005 Share Posted August 10, 2005 Has anyone been able to mount or extract files from Install.wim or Boot.wim from the Vista Beta 1 DVD? I can see the contents using /DIR but I keep getting errors such as file not found (or something like that) whenever I try to mount the files to a directory. LTJGH Posted August 11, 2005 Author Share Posted August 11, 2005 Figured it out. You have to right click -> install the WIMFLTR.INF file in the WAIK/Tools/X86 directory first. Then Ximage works as advertised. (I think the directories are correct, I am doing this from memory at work).... Guess I should have read all that documentation first.
