It would be cool if we had a thread just for easter eggs/new features. I found a few things including these:

In Paint, you get a Crop function, and a magnification slider

The event viewer has a new 'sidebar' to load and save logs

In the event viewer and services mmc's if you go File, Options, you get a Disk Cleanup dialog page!!!

you can also Run the following (there are more)

- documents

- music

- videos

- computer

- . = Your user profile

- .. = users dir

In notepad, if you double click in an empty space, the cursor moves to the first col and line of the document.

Unfortunatley, you cant close Explorer windows using Ctrl-W. Alt-F4 is annoying. Also, Alt-Space has dissapeared from explorer windows.

In task manager, you can right click on a process, and open the containing folder, or display the properties of the file!

Ctrl+scroll wheel to change icon size (except desktop and control panel). But you probly knew that already.

From everything that I know from what I've read and heard the sidebar IS in Windows Vista but is not on by default HOWEVER I have ONLY heard of this for build 5203 and have read that it is in fact NOT in build 5112 (aka the Beta 1 Build of Vista) There's the speech recognition... it's not really that hidden or secret but it is pretty cool when it works properly of course... the only problem with speech recognition is that it tries to do so many things that I find that much of the time its commands overlap each other and it isn't as context sensitive as it should be. (to get to the speech recognition app go to start>accessories>accessibility>speech recognition)

Other than that I haven't really found anything.... Only other thing that comes remotely close is the option in TweakVista 0.6 to slow down animations(ie. when you minimize, close or open a window) when you hold down the shift key.
