John S. Veteran Posted July 9, 2005 Veteran Share Posted July 9, 2005 :D?:DD Cheapest I have found filled up even though it was not half empty?:happy:y: I was so happy I took a picture:p :p? Most everywhere else it is 2.08-2.15.....not sure why it was so cheap here maybe they forgot to change the s:ninja:nja: 586184488[/snapback] probably cleaning their tanks of all the dirt and sediment that's settled in them, my uncles filling station used to do that. also never get gas when they're filling the tanks, stirs all that gunk up in the tanks. getting a tankful of that can make your car run rough like it needs a tuneup. $2.19 here in East Tennessee no need in fussing about it. we're going to buy it if it hits $3.50, and the oil companies know it. that's precisely why we'll be lucky to ever see it dip much below $2.00 again. nmuibm04
I saw this thread as I was heading to sleep for the night, and I thought I would offer my $.02 worth ;) Here in the wonderful U.P. of Michigan (The 1/3 of the state that is NOT shaped like a mitten, we're located next to Wisconsin and Minnesota) my hometown raised gas fifteen cents the last day to be at $2.44 a gallon. My girlfriend who is working on a resort island on the Eastern end of the U.P. pays $2.75 a gallon. Rumors have it that hurricane Dennis is going to raise prices more. I do think us in the US have it lucky versus other nations that pay $4 to $5 a gallon for gas, but I just don't see how the stations can raise their prices at will. If they paid for that tanker truck for 2.10 a gallon, why change your price five times before the next truck comes with gas for 2.15 a gallon? (prices used as an example). Gasoline prices should be locked per truck load, like propane sales are.
pdog
2.15 here, cost to station is ~ 1.89 (i run one). My car burns diesel which is 2.44 a gal :(. Good thing its free to me! Athens, Alabama (North Alabama) Oh, and for the people who don't like us complaining because of gas prices, most people don't care what you pay or have EVER payed for gas, all they see is what they are paying and what they paid 15 years ago. We used to pay under 79 cents a gallon in late 70s 80s, maybe if we got a better president, stuff wouldnt be so bad!

sturner9
I routinely fill up at between $0.77-0.79/litre, however I did see it two days ago at $0.72. These prices are always at ~1am when I get off work, and far from the highway where the prices are much higher (ex/ on my way to work it was $0.94/liter by the highway). location: just east of the GTA.
