Deathray
To block pop-ups from plugins, open your Firefox 1.0 or 1.0.1 browser, type about:config in the address field. Right-click in the resulting config page somewhere and select New -> Interger. Type privacy.popups.disable_from_plugins in the resulting dialog, hit OK, type 2 in the next dialog and you?re all set. One source reported from many sources, i thought it was also on neowin, but i cant find i;);) Now im not sure if it'll block em all, but i think it should block a few, btw... feel free to post the link that's giving you the popups, ive already apply the tweak and i can see if it makes a difference
Pink Floyd Veteran Posted August 11, 2005 Veteran Share Posted August 11, 2005 well sometimes, if you add an url to block in adblock, firefox crash when there is many ads to block simply because there is too many stuff to block/collapse. that is what I think. But even when it crash, the url is added.. What I do is doing a property dialog on the ads I want to block and manually add it in the adblock option dialog this way, it doesnt crash about popup, could you post some links to show popups that dont get blocked? Syphonic
I failed 12,21,22 and 25. Though I could block the Java .class for 25 and the image for 12 using adblock. Damn useful site. I'd hate to be on it on IE with no pop-up blocker!

IceDogg
I use adblock plus and Noscript and never see a popup ever. Send a url and I'll try it and see if I get one. Fact it's so good that's its a problem on filefront, because if you don't see the popup you can't download the file (or at least I can't)
