Opera & Bittorrent

Recommended Posts

How do you switch off the Bittorrent client that is built in. I can't see any settings for it. Am I over looking or is there no way to do so? I prefer using an external client and fed up of having to right click > save as with torrent links.

I'm using 8.10 if that is any help.

TIA

Can't you just save target as for it and download the .torrent file?

That's what I have been doing, but it's a little annoying. I'll stick to right click though if there is no other way. What choice do I have ;)

Two options - either

1. preferences/advanced/downloads/open with....

or

2. Edit your opera6.ini and add the lines :

[bitTorrent]

Enable=0

Should do the job - good luck :)
