Hmmm?

He may be cheap - but not very smart. You can pickup Partition Magic Pro 7.0 at http://www.softwareoasis.net for $49.95

So unless you guys are making like $2/hr - where is the cost savings??

I have used it on workstations, etc.. But never tried on server, but would think it would work.

Also - how about taking image of partition, then create new partition at size you want - and put image back.

I know Ghost 2002 runs for like $70

You going to waste more funds looking for FREE tool :) I am sure there are some out there, but can't remember names off the top.

Good Luck - let us know how it turns out.

Not working on server - thats something they threw in. It shouldn't be a problem. Did it install - or did it say couldn't install since its server? There is a way to trick into thinking the box is a workstation.

If possible, throw the Disk in as a secondary on a workstation, resize the partition ;)

? - these partitions you are resizing - are they on any type of Raid, be it hardware or even software? I would hope if it a real server, you are running raid 1 or 5, to make sure don't lose your data on a drive failure, etc.

Ok,

Found this one - says works on NT/2000 Server;

http://www.paragon.ru/pm/n_pm_main.htm

Have never tried this - but hey, its only $39.95 :)

I'll look to see can find some "Free" ones.

Remember - that price is like per machine, they do have like a technician version or something for $299 - which I think lets you use it as much as want, etc..

Yeah, Partion Magic 7 wont work on server, so use NTSWITCH and use Partion Magic and then NTSWITCH back to server :)

I have done that at least 10 times, and it works perfect :)

Ok,

Found a "Free" one;

http://www.ranish.com/part/

"The latest version could create, copy, move, and resize up to 32 primary and extended partitions."

Hope this helps - have not tried this one yet, but think I'll take a peek see :)

PS - I found another one too, but it said it wouldn't work on NTFS

That NTSWITCH solution worked a treat, thanks a bunch, the neowin guys come through again. Is there anything that you guys can't do !?!?

BTW ntswitch has been pulled from the authors homepage for "legal reasons" but a quick search on google brought it up for those who are looking.
