Apollo
For the people who are using it instead of 1.05, 1.06, do you think deer park builds (1.0+) are more stable, fast, secure than the previously mentioned ones?
Lasker
nope, I tested for two days and is not stable as firefox 1.06, in some ocassions with quicktime movies trailers broke and shut it down unexpected
Morgan
I've been using Deer Park for a couple weeks and I've had no issues with it at all. I'm using it on a Windows box if that helps any...I've also used the OS X build too now that I think about it, but again no issues...
IceDogg
More stable no, faster yes. The reason it's not more stable is work is still being done on it. But it just branched off so stability will be getting a lot better soon as they prepare for beta release. I use it 100% of the time. I've had a few things quit working from time to time while they worked on it..but very few crashes and I use several extensions too. It's going to be a great improvement when they are done with it. Going by your questions though, if I was you I'd wait till at least the beta comes out as it should be pretty stable then. I will say that I've had NO problems with security. But then I haven't had any with 1.0.x either. I'm what you might call a paranoid web surfer. Meaning I disable everything I can unless I come to a site I trust and then I'll allow it. I use the NoScript extension to disable all plug ins on sites that I don't trust. It blocks java, javascript and flash and all other plug ins as well. I highly recommend it! Fact, I only reinstalled java after this extension updated and was able to block java as well as other plug ins. Use to only block javascript. Very sorry so long, but I hope it helps you out some. STanger
I've been using it for quite awhile now and I really like it .. I like the features that are making it's way in, such as bfcache all bfcache means is that when you go to a page and click a link that stays in that same tab when you click the back button to go to that first page it reloads the first page from memory cache instead of disk cache which is a lot faster and for me it's inivisible to my eyes, It's almost instantaneous. turkishdelight
In my experience, Deer Park is slightly faster (due to the bfcache) and doesn't crash as much with sites like Gmail.
