mikey1001
OK, I'm getting frustrated here. I have the everyday SP2 version of IE 6 and starting yesterday I cannot get to any Passprt sites, all I get is a blank white page. When I right click "view source", this is at the top: JavaScript required to sign in. So, I checked under security and made sure all three appropriate enable buttons were selected, and they were. I cleared all cookies, and temp stuff, but nothing. I even did a reinstall with the repair tool and my XP cd, and it still won't show anything. If I go to any passport site in Firefox, no problem, but I need to use IE for certain things (thanks Microsoft), so if someone can tell me what I'm missing here I'd be very greatful. Thanks in advance.
mikey1001
OK, in case anyone has this problem in the future, I figured it out. I had to execute the following and then restart IE: regsvr32 jscript.dll regsvr32 urlmon.dll regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll regsvr32 Msjava.dll regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll regsvr32 Mshtml.dll regsvr32 Browseui.dll regsvr32 Shell32.dll regsvr32 vbscript.dll

amrinders87
OR you can just go to C:\Windows\inf folder, right click ie.inf and choose Install. That will automatically register those dlls.

I know you can right click and reinstall this and any other .inf but not all of the above mentioned dll's are re-registered with that function. Nothing worked for me until I manually registered them individually.
