nsa666
Please Help! I can't get a remote access to shared folders and a printer on my vista installation. I dont even get a password request. When i try \\192.168.0.1 from remote PC with XP installed, i get something like "Object not found" or "This PC is not configured to be accessed". It seems to work localy, if I try \\192.168.0.1 or \\localhost i see my folders. Network connection seems to be OK, ping 192.168.0.1 sucseeds. And I see the shared folders at the XP-computer with Vista. I dont want to reboot every time if somebody want to print something. What I've tried: Reinstalling WinVi: no effekt Disabling the Firewall: no effekt Disabling the SMB over NetBIOS: no positive effekt(vista disappeared from "My Network" in XP) Edited August 14, 2005 by nsa666
nsa666
It seems that the SMB driver do not start. I see folowing message in the EventViewer: The NetBIOSSMB Transport service failed to start due to the following error: The system cannot find the file specified. Somebody have same error?
