Windows Server R2 Beta Team would like to take this time to thank our participants for all the feedback and suggestions you have provided to us throughout the beta process!! Your feedback has been invaluable in helping us produce a stable, high-quality product of which we can all be proud! As we get close to the end of the beta process, your feedback becomes even more vital in helping us maintain that objective. To that end, we are pleased to announce the availability of the first escrow build of RC0. This build will be available for download on BetaPlace next week and you will receive email notification at that time. What you should consider before installing the RC0 escrow build Even though it is exciting to install a new build, because an escrow build has a limited lifespan we can only accept feedback for approximately 2 weeks. If you cannot download, install, and submit feedback within that timeframe we are asking that you continue to concentrate your testing focus on build 1970. What feedback are we looking for? As RC0 is a key milestone in the development process it is crucial that we receive immediate and specific feedback on the escrow build. This feedback includes: 1. Bug regressions 2. New bugs introduced via code changes 3. Overall stability Because of the importance of immediate feedback, we will award the first 5 beta participants who report new bugs in the escrow build with some awesome SWAG. Migration path As with all previous R2 builds, it is not possible to upgrade from any previous build nor will it be possible to upgrade from the IDS build to any future escrow or RCX candidates. Keys All previously issued keys will activate the new escrow build. If you are experiencing problems, please ensure that you are using the SP1 1830 build that is located on BetaPlace. This build is specifically setup to work with our R2 beta keys. This key will not activate other 1830 builds. X86 Keys: xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx X64 Keys: xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx As always we expect to see some great feedback from you on this first escrow build!
