Peppery
Heyas Just a few hours ago, I installed Vista on my main laptop, it goes well except theres some sound issues. When I open iTunes to listen to my music, It plays the first few seconds (I can hear it) then jams up then crashes, same with Windows Media Player. Device manager says that theres nothing wrong with my on-board Conexant AC-Link sound card, and i'm a little confuzed. Specs are: HP Pavilion DV1122AP Notebook 1.4GHZ Intel Celeron 450mb Ram 40gb HDD (Partitioned :: 10/10/17) Any help would greatly be appreciated. Peppery
I dont know if this would help or not, but in Windows XP (Where the audio works perfecto) is showing the sound card as Conexant AMC Audio, while Vista shows it as Conexant AC-Link. :ninja:
cipher982
Sound card issues seem to be pretty widespread in Vista, just try re-installing the drivers and run in xp compatability mode if needed, my sound still gets a lot of static playing songs and sometimes cuts out completly when I'm playing games. Commodore Max
That's not a very big surprise. Vista is entirely new. Try to install drivers manually in the device manager, may help.
