dracox
Heres my question, sorry if it's in the wrong place. The motherboard I want to buy has these sepcs: CPU - Intel Pentium 4 Socket 478 Chipset - Intel 845E - Northbridge: 82845E MCH - Southbridge: 82801DB ICH4 FSB - 400/533Mhz Now, my current CPU is an Intel Pentium 4 Socket 478, but the Chipset is an Intel 845. My question is what are the chances that my current CPU works with the mother board. Any help is appreciated

Any help is appreciated  no compatibilty issue @ all. the 845E should do it nicely. i don't see why not? as long as the CPU Socket Size matches the CPU Socket Size on the MB it'll work perfectly, and from your description it will. dracox
my question isn't whether or not the 845e will work, it is whether or not my 845 will work. If thats what you mean, then thanks.
