Have I remembered rightly, you don't even pay a TV licence, but you're willing to pay for an ad-less website?

The ads don't really bother me as they're well placed. If they started to put ads that float in the middle of the screen then yes maybe i would pay a fee to remove them.

The Brits pay for the beeb through a TV tax.  10GBP per year or something.

10.50GBP per month!

I'd happily subscriberize again to rid of the ads.

The amount per year would have to equal the amount Neowin gets equivalent to per person per year.

I never click, but they get my impressions. So actually if I blocked the ads they would get more clicks per impression because my redundant impressions would not lower the click per impression ration.

Does that work out right? Google ads is CPI right, and the higher the ration, then more $ you get.

i think that if you subscribe (to loose ads) then it should be more than the average money neowin makes per person.

1. Your not viewing the ads, that take a bit of coding im sure. There for more effort for staff.

2. The ammount of money they get could go up or mainly you could start using more of there bandwidth, making the site cost more, but subscription wouldnt, therefore they have to take that into consideration.

3. You want to give back to a great community!

I find the ad's very innobtrusive, and so I live with them. I do not block them, I just disregard them.

As such, I am more than happy to keep them.

it doesn't matter, if you pay....

after some time they will put it back because money income will get less and less.

they need to find everytime some new way of getting support.

so I wouldn't pay.....
