Kaidiir
I'm running a Nvidia GeForce Go5100 32MB vid card, and according to some googling it's DX9-compatable. Does this not mean Aero Glass will run on it? Is it just too old?
I8PP
Just because it's DX9 compatible, doesn't mean it will display the Glass effects. The card has to be supported by the LDDM drivers. Os1r1s
The fact that you hve a 32mb videocard might be the problem . . . 586384530[/snapback] Thats for surly the problem, because i installed on my laptop which has a 64bm card and it dont work for that, so why would you think it would work on a 32 mb card, *LAUGHS* The Graphics are pretty heavy doody, so go out and buy urself a better card, it will solve alot of head akes in the future ;)

Somehow I don't believe them (Toshiba), but trying to swap it out is probably more trouble than it's worth.
xXnZoMiKeXx
LoL :) You must a MINIMUM 68 Mb of Ram on your video card :)

LTD
It's not such a great loss, though. You'll still be able to run Vista, but without the glassy eyecandy. To be honest, you can put together a nice Vista-ready desktop system for cheap these days. If you've got a bit of $$$ floating around, you can build a good system and run Vista on it with all the glass effects, and also run Vista on your laptop, taking advantage of just the functionality. I'm sure you can still make it attractive, though, with custom themes similar to msstyles (I'm assuming Vista *will* run on a 32mb card, but with effects turned off . . . )
Commodore Max
You are not missing much, Vista is in a very early stage now ...
Kaidiir
Do you think that Beta 2 will have more lenient hardware requirements?
Paul
As more drivers are released by vendors a wider range of hardware will be usable on Vista.
