AJerman Posted August 19, 2005 Share Posted August 19, 2005 Yeah, advertisers have grown wise to the ways popups are commonly blocked, and finding ways around it. If your problem is just limited to certain sites and certain cases, then look around for extensions that extend the blocking such as the ones linked to above. If it's all popups, then I'd look at the settings to see if something is set wrong, or reinstall Firefox. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Fighter-X Posted August 20, 2005 Share Posted August 20, 2005 You can try adblock with Filterset.G. It always works. It Blocks all ads including flash, but not javascript. Finding a Javascript ad is very very unlikely. search for it on neowin, theres a very nice thread about it. Another suggestion, go on google and search for a HOSTS file. It blocks a lot of ads too.
