azazel-
This kind. ;) j/k RDRAM is fastest, but your needs depend on the platform.
xovius
ok.. so im talking about a p4 2.53 type thing going on.. gf4 ti4600.. does that change anything around?
azazel-
RDRAM. Anything less for a P4 and you'll be screwing yourself.

I wouldn't say you are screwing yourself since the tested performance difference is nill, and in some tests DDR beats it, but if I owned a P4 i would still get the fastest RAMBUS membory. lawtai
yea, I'd definitely go with the RDRAM for your pentium board instead of ddr.

aco Veteran Posted July 7, 2002 Veteran Share Posted July 7, 2002 Take a look at this article @ THG. It compares the performance of a few types of RDRAM with a few types of DDR. The tests are done on a P4 2.4Ghz, similar to your configuration. http://www17.tomshardware.com/mainboard/02...0501/index.html
fvbounty
From what I read PC1066 is the best right now, and Kingston or Corsair in a couple weeks will have it
handyman
Rdram is the fastest ram, but intel is the only chipset that uses it. I believe the fastest meory bus is 1000mhz or something like that they make. The whole reason I dont use Rdram is because its not a standard, Anti competition practices Rambus practiced, and Royalties they charge other companies to produce there ram(50-100million a year). Why you think Crucial doesn't produce RDRam?
