changing the new tab key to something else

Recommended Posts

I can't find how to change the new tab key to something other than the middle mouse button. It's so annoying trying to scroll down the page, only to have a bunch of new tabs open.

how do i change it to some other button or just disable it?

ok.

The middle mouse button opens new tabs over links right? I want to disable that or change that function to a new key or button.

I'm very suprised there is apparently no way to change this functionality. I guess changing the source code and recompiling it is the only way to fix this. :(

the only way to stop the middle click button to open links in new tabs is if you chang

browser.tabs.opentabfor.middleclick to false but they will open in new windows

why do u want to change it anyways? cant u use ctrl click?

I want to change it because when I'm scrolling using the middle mouse button I do not want to have any accidental links open up. God I hate this browser

I'd rather have it the middle mouse click to open links in tabs disabled because I didn't know about the ctrl-click, but apparently this isn't possible.

browser.tabs.opentabfor.middleclick just makes the link open in a new window and middlemouse.openNewWindow doesn't do anything
