tunafish
I found a kind of Easter Egg in FireFox Open firefox and type in ABOUT:MOZILLA in the address bar And so at last the beast fell and the unbelievers rejoiced. But all was not lost, for from the ash rose a great bird. The bird gazed down upon the unbelievers and cast fire and thunder upon them. For the beast had been reborn with its strength renewed, and the followers of Mammon cowered in horror. from The Book of Mozilla, 7:

supernova_00
that has been in there since phoenix days. its refering to IE. and the 7:15 is the date i think phoenix was created from the mozilla code. EDIT: to make more sense And so at last the beast fell(IE) and the unbelievers rejoiced(IE fanboys). But all was not lost, for from the ash rose a great bird(Phoenix/Firebird which is now Firefox). The bird gazed down upon the unbelievers and cast fire and thunder upon them. For the beast had been reborn with its strength renewed, and the followers of Mammon(M$) cowered in horror. from The Book of Mozilla, 7:15(Date phoenix/firebird now Firefox was created) Edited August 20, 2005 by supernova_00
AJerman
It's been there as long as Mozilla has been around actually, and the "beast" actually refers to Netscape, not IE. The unbelievers are the "IE fanboys" however. The ones who were "unbelievers" that Netscape would succeed in the beginning. They are now rejoicing that Netscape had finally fallen. I can't believe some of you have never seen this. This is 10 years old! Edit: Just saw the Wikipedia entry and I suggest you take a look there for more information. It explains all of the history of "The Book of Mozilla". Edit 2: Heh, supernova, I just read what you said again and it's actually quite funny. You say the beast which has fallen is IE, and then say that the unbelievers that rejoiced were IE fanboys. IE fanboys rejoicing for IE falling? Besides, we cannot yet put in the history books that IE has "fallen".

Michael1406
And so at last the beast (Netscape) fell and the unbelievers (IE fans) rejoiced. But all was not lost, for from the ash (Netscape code) rose a great bird (Phoenix). The bird gazed down upon the unbelievers and cast fire (Phoenix, now named Firefox) and thunder (Thunderbird) upon them. For the beast had been reborn with its strength renewed, and the followers of Mammon (Microsoft) cowered in horror. from The Book of Mozilla, 7:
