I've just been using the Warez Client to download some completly legit stuff, and am having trouble connecting and am sick of it.

I was wondering what you use. Please rate your selection based upon connectivity, file availability, and features.

thx

Good Point!

If you want Shareaza, vote for Ares Gold. No one likely knows what it is any way. heh

1. Warez Client - contains nasty things , just do a spyware scan.

2. Ares Gold - is a ripp off of the oficial Ares Galaxy client and contains spyware too.

3. The best filesharing program doesn't exist yet.

4. The filesharing programs can be categorized for :

- download speeds

- network

- users

- content available...etc..

so its imposibile to decide or to know which one is the best.

5. Your poll must look like this if you want a good, clean filesharing program :

- Cabos

- Limewire

- the "official" BitTorrent

- ZipTorrent

- The Shadows Experimental Bit Torrent Client aka BitTornado

- BitComet

- BitSpirit

- Piolet 1.83 Beta - this is the only clean version of Piolet

- SoulSeek Client

- Shareaza

- eMule

- KCeasy

- edonkey

- Azureus

;)

what about DC++? I use it more than anything else, though that might be b/c we have an on campus hub, so its like 150 people on a 10 meg lan... the public hubs are decent, if you can find someone else in your area with the file you want.

I tried eXeem.....uninstalled it after 2 mins.

I've found that Limewire is still largely untainted. Then again I could simply not be looking in the right (or wrong) places...

But I find much of what I'm looking for on there. Also on Shareaza.

And if it ain't there, it's off to BitTorrent :p

who actually have more than two p2p programs installed at the same time? I never have more than two installed, currently i have LimeWire and Azureus.

Oh and WinMX should be included in the list too. Crap GUI but decent downloads.

Limewire for p2p, BitComet for torrents.

Azeurus

586409081

newsgroups are server based, not p2p

586409087

Bit tornado ( bit torrent )

586409564

Azureus all the way.

Anyone tried eXeem ?

586409614

BT is the only one I trust now, all the others are full of crap like the enormous amount of spyware.

Null vote -> Tomato Torrent

Bittorrent isn't P2P

I would of Voted ares, but i can never connect to the network anymore, so i'd say Cabos (Based on Limewire, so i voted for that ;))
