More IE7 suggestions

Recommended Posts

Hey people, can anyone point out, what you want to see added to the current new features in IE7 :)

i was thinking of

-The ability to merge multiple windows into tabs

-Ability to be skinnable

what else comes up in your mind?

CSS' display:table, display:table-cell, etc. capabilities so we can finally begin the transition away from table-based designs. CSS' :hover:before and :hover:after support so we can create CSS-based dropdown menu systems easier while also not relying on JavaScript support to fix it for Internet Explorer users. CSS' positioning capabilities for generated content (:before and :after) to create simple and flexible hint systems and give us the ability to add more decorations to a site without bloating the HTML (for an example, generate some content containers where we can place arrow images in our menu systems and then float/position them to the right.)

That, and the security vulnerabilities getting patched, is all I ask for.

What megaman said. Better CSS selector support would be great. If the 3 mature browsers (IE, FF, Opera) all support all or most css selectors, that would be a great step for web designers/developers.

I forgot one thing above: PNG gamma correction. For crying out loud, not even Internet Explorer 7 shows them properly. Without gamma-correction they are off-colored and still useless.
