R@ven
Hi , here my Specs : P4 1,8GHz (willamette) ASUS P4T-E 1 GB RD RAM ATI Radeon 8500 LE My Question : I?m thinkinking of upgrading my system. I either want to buy myself a P4 1,8 or 2 GHz (Northwood) and overclock it to 2,4GHZ. Or a GeForce 4 Ti 4200. now I dont?really know what makes more sense for Games... :ponder: need advic:D:D I?m also open for any other suggestions on what i should b:) :)
caustiK
i think it will be close either way - depending on the game, the performance between the geforce ti4200 and the 8500le will probably be better than the increase in mhz/cache of your processor - so that's the way i'd go (for games) :)
DeathLace
I say the new processor, not video card :p.

devobitch
either of those upgrades would be a waste of money ur system is about as good as it gets the money u spend wouldn't gain u anything
azazel-
IDE or SCSI Raid would do more for your system performance than upgrading either of those components. You've got a quick system already, focus on bottlenecks, like your I/O subsystem.
caustiK
ooh scsi raid... drool.... :p that could get pretty expensive, but then again, this guy seems to have enough money considering he's upgrading this setup ;) just trying to tell him which of two he suggested was better but you're probably right :)
Sparticus
Well im gonna say yea that your computer is A+ so to say, but just to put my two cents in, if you are gonna upgrade, go AMD.
username
either way would not be a worth while upgrade, wait a while or maybe get a new video card if its burning a hole in your pocket
R@ven
Wow ! thats more feedback i hoped i would be getting .. thanks guys :p i think i?ll go for the cpu if i have enough money ... if not i?ll just wait some time to get either geforce 5 or the new radeo;);) THX again R@ven
lx qu33n
like i am really happy with the performance out of my gf4 ti4400..... and im running athlon xp 1900 @ 1.6 mhz and it runs great for any game.... quality and performance not a problem but resolution sometimes stretches it on games like morrowind when u get above 1280x1024 with full detail everything.... so i would say gf4 and great setup already =) OH YA AND DOMO-KUN RULES!!! azazel- i love the avatar
