At first I thought someone was joking when they told me this web link can crash your PC using simple HTML code and Internet Explorer. I suspected it might crash just the browser at worst and was simply a joke related site at best. However, after trying it I can confirm it can crash your PC. But it does so through an apparent bug in some video card drivers.

On my test machine I received a BSOD in nv4_disp (the nVidia display driver). The driver version on my test machine is the nVidia ForceWare v77.77 WHQL Certified driver. I would have suspected this to happen with BETA or custom drivers but it does so with WHQL Certified ones. This was very surprising. The code attempts to load an extremely large image that causes the video driver to go into an infinite loop and Windows Crashes.

Why aren't you cool enough to see a blue screen of death right now? You probably are using an OS other than Windows oorrr you have a video driver that can handle this ooorr you are using a image resizing script. MS has still not issued a patch.

Opera wins :p

Crashed with IE

Worked at first, then the music stopped, cursor froze - then it started again, and then i got the Infinite Loop BSOD :(

Windows XP SP2 (Tablet PC 2005)

Intel Extreme Graphics 2 for Mobile

IE 6

almost crashed. i think the reason that people think that it crashed is because they are so impatient. they tend to try and click here and there, but when they discover that the mouse isnt responsive...they instantly think that the computer has crashed.

in cases like this, Alt + F4 is your friend.

Also, note the filesize when you get a chance :)

Edit: Nevermind, it doesn't appear to work anymore :(

    • Ironically, I do have audio engineering experience, but still find the different flavors of VB-Audio's VoiceMeeter (and more advanced options like Banana and Potato) to be a little unintuitive. Yes, I can figure them out, but despite having a UI that looks like an audio mixer, they don't exactly follow typical audio mixing conventions, so it takes a little time to figure out how the software works. Still, I feel like for what you are asking for, VoiceMeeter is a good solution. If you're interested, I could probably create a quick how-to video.
    • If it was not for AI push, you have a point but as I already use notepad++ and I really don’t see the need for all the extras in a damn NOTEPAD… I also disagree real notepad with pen does not offer spell check, so why NOTEPAD app should? you already have free Word online.. if this is what you need.
    • How is it "one of the best file managers in Windows"? It is slow as hell and crashes like it's the offspring of Windows Me
    • Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Shell Extensions\Blocked] "{e2bf9676-5f8f-435c-97eb-11607a5bedf7}"="Share" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Shell Extensions\Blocked] "{e2bf9676-5f8f-435c-97eb-11607a5bedf7}"="Share" [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\ModernSharing] Remove that Share text.
    • Meh could never use the UWP as I use WhatsApp business and it's features are available on the standard. Thos this applies to both windows and macos+ipad versions. So I'm stuck on using web versions for whatever platform.
