Help with Office XP:Outlook


Question

I had office 2k and it was great. I switched to office xp and when I open outlook it doesn't retrieve messages unless I hit send/recieve. It's set up the same way 2k outlook was but it doesn't retrieve when open.

Go to tools..options...mail setup....send recieve ...send recieve(again)... check schedule and automatic send recieve every and choose your own interval.

This will do it

That was all checked and no luck. Oh well. I guess I'll get tired of hitting send/recieve button sooner or later and throw office 2k back on. Thx anyway:cool:

If the settings appear correct but aren't working find files with th extension ".srs" and delete them.

Willbe rebuilt when Outlook is next opened.

Reconfigure and away you go.

Known issue that send settings can get screwed on update from 2000

P.

Thanks but I already took the xp office off and installed 2k. I switched to XP office same time I did xp pro o.s. with clean format so old office 2k would have been long gone
