Video card purchase

I was thinking about purchasing a new video card such as the geforce 4 Ti are there any other video cards that out perform geforce or are a better deal?

ummm NForce?? wot r u talking about, the NForce is the name the nVidia give to their motherboard chipsets which have built in 3d. I think you mean the chip codenamed NV30 which may be coming out around that time.

also its not the card used in the XBox, the XBox is similar to the GF3 but it is a separate chip altogether

yea, but that would require waiting, and if you decide to wait, there's always gonna be something better that'll be coming out in an a few months. Right now I think the Geforce 4 Ti's are the best. The ATI 8500 comes close, but isn't quite up to par with the ge4 ti's.

But if you do decide to wait, ATI's coming out with the 9700 which is supposed to be a lot better than the geforce 4's and it's coming out before nvidia releases their newer card too. So it's up to you if you wanna wait or buy now.

Perhaps I'm mis-informed. Point is, I'm waiting for the next line of NVidia vid cards, after the GeForce 4.
