Kaidiir
I've always had a problem with Firefox load times, as in the time it takes for the program to load after I click the icon. This is the only thing that prevents me from using it full-time... Does anyone know a way around this? Since we're all talking about bloating, I thought someone may have had this problem and found a nifty solution to it...

Sub_Zero_Alchemist
You can spin the opera/firefox methods all you want, I regard them as being equally as good as each other, each with their own methods of doing things...Maybe you fanboys should do the same. You knever know, you may actually learn something. 586445692 Very well said M2Ys4U, my thoughts exactly.
mrt2
I'd use opera, but I'd prefer free software. And I also prefer software without adds...seems like both of those are covered for me with ff.
jak0bk
Well... bloated or not... Firefox has continually taken up twice the amount of RAM per instance than IE on my system. I have no extensions in Firefox, so... whatever.
d3bruts1d
As and Opera user, even I'd have to say that Firefox isn't bloated. ;) As someone stated, Firefox is only as bloated as you make it. Firefox starts off very simple. Unfortunately that is the (or at least my) problem with Firefox. Most people have to add a number of extensions to the program to make it comparable to other browsers. Each extension you add causes the program to eat more memory as well as run/load slower. For me, Opera offers what I want/need. Speed + features. I just cannot get that with Firefox. Obviously, Firefox isn't a bad browser, they've got quite a fan base. Opera uses their own Presto engine. The same one used by Adobe, Macromedia, and a number of other companies. ;) I'd use opera, but I'd prefer free software. And I also prefer software without adds...seems like both of those are covered for me with ff. 586447126 You can get Opera 8.x free w/o ads, if you can get 250 referrals. ;) Though to me, it's well worth the $39.00 for a license that allows you to use Opera on every computer. :p
seta-san
yes. i agree. if not just for the google search in the toolbar. If i wanted to use google i'd have browsed there myself. Hey dont you agree i think ie7 is alot better than firefox coz i think firefox is too bloated now. i wish they made a nice LITE version like ie7 :DThen i go back to firefox also a nice theme wud be good :) 586435555 it has been for a long time. Anything anti-big company works here. Doesn't matter if it's anti-microsoft, anti-symantic, anti-riaa. If you're a multimillion dollar corporation you will be insulted here. Yikes has neowin become the firefox fanboy network  586435641
905punk
Bloated or not (i think not) Using Internet Explorer nowadays (and before too, but thats not the point) is just simply a bad move security wise. Not that firefox is 100% perfect, but its far far less flawed then IE (I'd say firefox is 80% perfect :p)

toadeater
What spawned all these Wintrolls all of the sudden? I think they are getting desperate seeing that Vista has had so many features cut out that its turning into another Win98SE. Yes, we're all impressed that Microsoft has managed to mindlessly copy another innovative product (FX and Opera) and turn it into something mediocre. Name one feature in IE7 that hasn't been copied from other products simply for the reason that other products have it, not because MS has any kind of coherent roadmap or vision for the future. No, I am not upset, if it sounds like I am being hard on MS, I'm just amazed that some people actually think this kind of business strategy is cool? Why would you think ruining other people's innovations and products is cool? How is IE7 less bloated than FX? Maybe you're comparing FX loaded with fifty plugins to IE with none? Microsoft has control of the OS, they've injected IE into the OS using hooks 3rd parties aren't allowed, and they STILL can't make a better browser. Wait until FX 1.5 is released and you will see that IE is always one step behind.
