digitallaughter
Not cigs, I have a hookah I light up every once and a while though. Cigars on special occasions...but not everyday or anything...
NEVER85
I smoke every once in a while. I smoked about 5 cigs at work yesterday, cuz I was stressed out and needed to relax. I'm not hooked on them, it's usually every 2-3 weeks I light up, and even then it's only about 4-5 cigs. It would probably take me about 3 months to smoke a whole pack. :p
Laurë Veteran Posted August 30, 2005 Veteran Share Posted August 30, 2005 Do You Smoke? If Yes Do You Know It Harmful For You? 586438295 How patronising. I don't smoke cigarettes, and I wouldn't go out with someone who does. The smell is disgusting and I have never gained any pleasure from it when I have tried smoking. However, I can understand how people who are addicted do enjoy it, it satisfies their cravings.

betasp
I prefer to maintain control over my own life than be addicted to a substance. Also, if I were going to kill myself, I can find better and faster techniques.

NightmarE D
Yes but currently working on quiting (down to about half a pack a day from about a pack and a half) and I'm only 26 and started when I was 12. I don't smoke around others unless they are smokers themselves and I know it doesn't bother them and I smoke nowhere near babies. But the ones saying stuff like "i can't stand smokers, can't stand being around them, ewwww pooey smoke" Just walk away. I know from experience that if you get an attitude with a smoker (some not all) they'll just make it worse for ya since you got an attitude about it. Not everyone knows the effects of smoking. It didn't hit home for me til my mom got Emphysema. Now she has to take pills and be on oxygen the rest of her life. When you see that you start to re-think smoking. So all you haters need to keep that in mind. Smokers smoke because we are addicted to it. It's a hard thing to give up and not all smokers really give a crap where they are when they do it. But I myself won't smoke around non-smokers...I'll gladly go outside.
lunamonkey
I don't smoke and I'm so glad I didn't start at school. I don't mind people smoking when I'm out, each to there own. Although I wouldn't date a smoker. What I don't like is when people smoke cigars in a reasonably closed off environment, it seems a bit rude. Open air, they can do what they like. 42n81
if you smoke, it doesn't automatically mean your a total nobhead. 586438422 I just can't quite understand that wierd logic ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! For example: If I asked you to give me $30- to $50- a week, every week for the rest of your life, and in return I'd make you sick, give you bad breath, make your clothes and hair stink, and then in the end I'd kill you, would you do that for me? Because that's what smokers are cheerfully doing for the tobacco companies. That jushasu> to be a total nobhead, doesn't it ?
Hitman2000
42n81 you have hit the nail on the head. What the hell is good about smoking and for that matter drinking. I do neither, I dont see the point of throwing my money away for no reason.
Pete Zaria
Smoke? occationally. Tobacco? no. :ninja: Harmful? well compared to what? I mean, with all the chemicals in the air we breathe and the food we eat... Sterioids in our meat, fire retardant in our clothes, teflon in *everything*, flouride and chrlorine in our water, etc... So in comparison, I don't think a little homegrown is bad for you, no. However I'm sure it's not good for you, either. If nothing else at least it's not full of the billions of toxic, cancer-causing chemicals in Marlbros. Mods: please note I haven't made any reference to anything illegal whatsoever. I don't endorse any illegal activity either. Just posting my opinion to the question asked. Peace, Pete Zaria.
backwards
The one thing that ****es me off, are the people who are quick to judge those that do. "I hate smokers and smoking." Whats the difference between that and "I hate black people and their life style." It's the same basic generalization, even if you think you're some crusader for health or your own personal interests. Others have the same right to make their own choices as you do. As a smoker I don't walk around and try to find every fault that a non smoker has. No, I'm not judgemental, yes I mind my own ****ING business. </endofrant> I agree with this, but I have a problem with smokers who deny that their smoking is foolish. They've hoodwinked themselves for some reason, and should really know better. THis is probably where the abovementioned hate stems from. 42n81 you have hit the nail on the head. What the hell is good about smoking and for that matter drinking. seta-san
well, smokers generally affect other peoples health and enjoyment. a couple weeks ago I went to see a boxing match at the local casino bar. The fight was good but it was a miserable experience since their was so much smoke around. i won't be going back for any reason. So ya, smokers are dip****s.
