blush
WASD for me. I remember when I used to play Counter-Strike 1.5 with arrow keys... I thought I'd never be able to get used to WASD.
Guol
WASD all the way...only because arrow keys are far away from every other button that i use like jump, change weapon, etc, etc. :ninja:

raskren
Maybe I'm old school. I voted for arrow keys. Back when I was playing Wolfenstein (No, not RTCW) movement was mapped to the arrow keys. Then Quake came along and suddenly we had the ability to strafe. Those keys defaulted to comma and period keys. I still use that setup today. Actually, I have a 5 button mouse and I use the right mouse button for forward, a button on the left side for back. The middle button is reload or alt-fire and the left mouse button is fire. Weird, huh?
pmh
umm.... I know I'm a geek... When I was still a newbie, I used the arrow keys, then I grew to love WASD, but I still missed my arrow keys (after all, I even put "finger dents" in them) so after much skillfull planning, I came up with the following... but how do I vote? Kerm
WASD, more keys around it.

ZappBrannigan
Yea back in times of wolfenstein and doom, i used the arrow keys, i still do if you dont need use mouse at same time. it just with a mouse, its easier with keys over at the left. golazo
arrows i'm just more used to it. and i dont like the fact that the W is not directly above the S which makes it feel uncomfortable for me hehe
Elliot B.
Well, which do you like to you in game movement? The Letters W, A, S, and D or the arrow keys. I think that the WASD buttons are better because you're close to more buttons than the arrow keys. Thus, you can assign more keys for your game. 586444677[/snapback] WASD for the same reason. grimman
WASD of course... +Q/E for weapprev/weapnext (Q2 bindings ;))
Epimetheus
Arrow keys, plus numeric keys 0-2, and shift, control, enter for crouching, walking, and going to prone, and page up, down ect. for special functions, and my mouse for weapon switching/firing. It works for me. :) I cannot stand the WASD key configuration because my hands are fairly large and if I use that configuration I accidentally hit keys. Example: Flying around in BF using WASD configuration...flying...loaded up Blackhawk...crossing over ocean/desert at high altitude. Try to turn...hits bail out key and falls to death, while the other guys go crashing into the land and die a horrible death in the burning fuselage of a helicopter. :( Edited September 7, 2005 by Epimetheus

YaZoR
WASD - Not enough keys to left of hand for pinky to assign/press. ESDF - Perfect for me RDFG - Too much of a stretch for CTRL (Crouch in most games) Arrow Keys - For the n00bs/llamas End thread, nuff said.
