China Hacking their way to top world power

Recommended Posts

I didn't read all of it, but I have to say I'm not surprised, nothing is safe in this world even the most advanced security systems can be broken if you have the time and resources...and considering how many Chinese there are (not to mention they are some of the hardest working people in the world)...was only a matter of time, the real question is what we gonna do about it? build better defenses? or something else? from what I did read it looks like the next war could be a "cyber-war" (for some reason this reminds me of Ghost in the Shell  )

WOW! Is there a stronger word for this?

I can't beleive all the crap this guy is going through and the FBI being such a d*ck about it. He looses his job and does what he can for his country and then the people that are suppose to be supporting this country don't care enough. It seems to me like the Chinese have a lot of our main secrets and the FBI isn't doing anything about it. I understand laws and rules, but there are exceptions to rules.

I think this guy should just post everything he has on the net for the public so other parts of the military can see this if the FBI doesn't want them too.

I just hope the guy doesn't get killed over what he is doing and his findings. I support him 100%

Figures. The US gov is like 20 years behind the times when it comes to this stuff. I read that even the space shuttle is having problems because its parts are all obsolete.

Im just gonna say...don't believe everything you read.....95% of all the software in the world is 'American' made...basically...and believe me..there are backdoors that we don't even know about....so let the chinese think they are hackers....what security are we at risk..when "Harry Potter" is pirated and sold on the corners of every chinese street.....don't be so naive....and don't think Bill Gates is all that Un-American either...

Why do the army/whoever leave important docs on machines connected to the internet? If they just kept them on internal networks without access to the outside world it wouldn't be a problem would it?

not one can play with the chinese goverment, even the USA can't beat it, in the army, the US have like 600,000 or 700,000 soldiers, but the chinese have millions, so, not country in the world can defeat china man

but the thing is that people need access to these docs when they're not in the agency, so that's why it's on the net...

I agree. Future wars will involve alot of cyber attacks from blackhat hackers. information control plays a bigger role in economy's these days.
