i have built a lot of pcs all up only had one drive died that was a wd 20 gig and it was the controller chip that died on it other than that my old 13gig quantum died on me few years back and i have had a fujistsu drive die from bad sectors

i have seen alot of ibm's die only a month after getting them thankfuly i dont build pc's with the ibm drive

i am a big wd supporter all the drives i have sold only one has ever failed and atm i have a wd 15.3gig 5400rpm drive and an 80gig 7200rpm drive in my pc as well as a 80gig baracutta 4 seagate seem to have a good drive but it is a little slower than the wd 80gig in access speeds
