Recommended Posts

Ok here is my current system:

450 mhz p3

384mb sdram

gf2 mx 400 64 mb

12.7 gig HD

asus mobo (new because oldone fried)

windows 98se

so im wondering what upgrades will really benefit me. i play games, like tac ops, and i dont need a p4 2.53 or amd xp 2200. just a nice upgrade for like under 500 bux.

dude you definitely need a faster chip mate

even if its just a celeron, get something over 1ghz will ya

it will enhance your system so much

I went from a Celeron400

to a P4 1.4ghz and youll notice one hell of a difference.

well for under $500 u can practically build urself a new computer.

i priced a AMD xp 1800+ with mobo for $176 on www.newegg.com

Or a p3 1 ghz chip for $117 with no mobo. (tho you could definatly find cheaper)

A nice 40 gig hdd would be a nice addition as well for $62.

you could spoil yourself with a 256 mg sdram for $44.

Surf www.newegg.com for a while. Best site I've found for hardware yet. Great prices and they dont rape you on the shipping.

spoil urself with sdram?

if u get a amd cpu you should definitly go with ddr! o.0 but you know that already :right: .

get urself a better cpu and bigger HD cause games keep getting bigger and bigger

Hey hasnt your p3 450 been good to you??

When you answer yes

dont you think you should stick with intel and go for p4?

sorry im not gonna start a flame war on it, I just find people whom have used intel for long periods of time generally feel more comfortable with a chip from the same manufactuer thus a p4 :)
