need a solution to install vista on my comp

Recommended Posts

hi everybody, im gonna prepair for install vista on my comp tonight,

and im facing some problems, i need help:

my vista installation file is at E:/vista_install (its a hard drive, not DVD rom)

then im gonna format my C. so i have no system anymore.

and the prob is , how can i install my vista from E:/vista_install?

i thought 2 solutions:

1. use a flopy drive boot to dos, and run the setup at dos. but my e is ntfs and also vista is not like windows have a i368 folder, i dont know whats the install file for dos ... it seems not a good plan to install vista

2. burn my vista installation files into a dvd, but im not sure how to burn it, should i just burn it as a data disk or i have to burn with some special settings (like a boot disk...).. i guess its a better way than 1....

help,~~
