neowin_hipster
How can someone be ignorant about poverty? It's not like it's some double secret information. It's not double secret info but its not something he knows anything about. He hasn't grasped the social and economic conditions these people live with. He is and has always been sheltered from the world by those around him yet his larm arm reaches all over the world. Kinda scarry.

Unemployment is under 5% (compared to say...Europe, where it hovers in the mid-teens), so obviously he knows a thing or 2 about how to help the underprivledged. Raum
As much as I may dislike Bush, I've yet to see something to make me think he's racist. He very well could be, but I haven't seen it in him. I do think the government as a whole has a racially-based agenda, and while Bush may help perpetuate that, he is not solely responsible for it, or the creator of it, and on a personal basis he hasn't struck me as very racist. the long lost son
There are still so many people voting yes. I really wish somebody who voted yes would come and explain themselves. I see it how everyone else sees it who has *actually* posted their reasoning.
glitch409
I can't beleive on actually going to defend him. but george bush is not racist, i have a hard time beleiving many people in this day and age are. How ever, do i think he cares less about those with less money, well thats a different story. trust me, if that was a city of poor white people, they would have gotten the same treatment. its more about class than race. this may seem to be racist since much of that class is made up of blacks. but, the only color that matters is green these day. But besides that I agree. Like I said before, I dont think Bush is racist and I don't think he is not. I don't know tha man so anyone that says he is racist is just saying that out of either ignorance or they were emotionally charged at the moment. Bush doesnt care about poor people, period. Now about presidents and race, Clinton loves black people! :p I say that because how many old white ex-presidents come to EBC in Rucker park by themselves in Harlem? Hahaha!! Fred Derf Veteran Posted September 10, 2005 Veteran Share Posted September 10, 2005 That makes no sense, he's the President, he sees facts and figures all the time from the Labor Department he knows how these people live. Unemployment is under 5% (compared to say...Europe, where it hovers in the mid-teens), so obviously he knows a thing or 2 about how to help the underprivledged. 586484317 Europe and Canada have a much smaller percentage of their "unemployables" incarcerated. Once you factor that in, the image of Europe and Canada have significantly higher unemployment rates changes. One in every 37 Americans have served jail time. People in Canada are 5 or 6 times less likely to have served jail time. Those that do serve time here also do so for shorter periods. There were 36,024 prisoners in Canada during 2003. Adjusting for population, there should have been about 324,216 prisoners in the United States during 2003 but in actuality there was 2,078,570 prisoners. I'd wager that a lot of those 1.75 million extra people in lockup would probably not otherwise by tax paying citizens. America is also a welfare state, they just put their resources in difference places (and after a crime has already happened).

3beanlimit
Don't know about all this. My personal opinion is no. He doesn't mind blacks if they have a bit of money, work harder than he does. (Thats not hard to do) and have something about them that helps him to elevate his ego. Then again, I'd have to say that he has that same opinion about everyone. It doesn't matter what color you are. If your poor? IMHO, he's his mothers son, not his fathers. He thinks your scum. the long lost son
i just think hes an idiot. he and his minions are neglegent, and should be held accountable for some of the things that occured. 586506117 So you voted yes? That shows absolutely nothing to do with him being racist. The poll isn't about him being an idiot, or being negligent.
