SideWeaver
Hi there. I have just installed Beta 1 of Windows Vista. Ive had no problems atall as such, however I am now struggling to access MSN Messenger. The error message i get is: " We were unable to sign you into MSN Messenger, possibly because of a problem with the serivce or with your internet connection. Please make sure that you are connected to the internet. MSN Messenger has made several failed attempts to sign you in. Your firewall may be blocking Messenger from connecting to the service. Please review your firewall Settings. See the retailer's instructions for more information. ((81000306))" Has anybody had any problems like this or know what i need to do to fix this? canbeli
Yeah, look at your Firewall in Vista, I think under (if they din't change it from XP) Security Center. Try setting exceptions or disabling it. If it doesn't work, then I think MSN Messenger is currently not compatible with Windows Vista?? Maybe you could try using the Windows Messenger that came with Vista, if there was one. If it still doesn't work, then maybe you should check Messenger website. I believe you CAN connect to the internet since you can come here, so maybe check MSN's Messenger Service Status. I'm not too sure about the details of the stuff in Vista, as I can't get to try it out yet...are you a beta tester?
