Maxthon questions...

Recommended Posts

I am Maxthon as by secondary browser..I got some issues with it. Plz help me out.

1. How to make the links open in a new tab?

Like I click on the middle button on my mouse with FX/Opera, it opens ina new window, so without right-clicking, do we have any other options to do so?

2. Where can I get BBcode plugin for Maxthon?

How to install the same?

Any other good plugins that we can install and is useful as well?

Thnaks for the support. :)

1. Maxthon Options >> Tab > New tab (tab) and select in the list, middle mouse button click on links. You can also drag and drop links, which I find better.

2. http://forum.maxthon.com/forum/index.php?s...15309&hl=bbcode or http://forum.maxthon.com/forum/index.php?s...17170&hl=bbcode is another type

You should just be able to install them by unzipping and putting the folder inside your Plugins folder. As for other useful ones, it depends on what you like and need. Check http://forum.maxthon.com/forum/index.php?showforum=12 or http://maxthon.tarapages.com/

Thanks -=SD=- for replying :)

By the way, that Maxthon forum pages, dont open up, dont know why, it says: "Cant find server".

And yeah I got my middle click working :D

Also I forgot to add another query:

1. How can I make Maxthon to open a bookmarked URL, by just pressing a key. Like if I have google.co.in in my bookmarks, can i just press on "G" and then make it open that page.

Thanks for the support :)

Hmm.. Ashwin .. There is another way to open links in new tabs .. Particularly helpful when you are checking a list of urls, such as checking posts after your last visit in forums .. :

mxth6ov.jpg

Just enable the button, and start clicking on links .. All the links will open in new tab besides the current open .. You might wanna Disable the button thats beside it -- the one which says "Activate new window" -- to keep the current tab stay opened ...

Btw .. All the forum links are working for me .. If the forum page still isnt opening, try Tara's plugin site ..

I think this is roughly the same in Maxthon options >> Address bar > URL Alias, you can add them there and put Alias as G and URL for google.co.in and typing g in the address bar (hit enter) will go to that site.

You can also right click the tab of the favorites website you have open, and select Assign Alias, just put whatever letter you want and it will work the same way.

Is there way to customize tab rightclick menu?

Not that I know of, but that would be a cool thing to do.

I got that BBcode plugins also in my plugin folder of Maxthon, I restarted Maxthon.. it also "knew" that I had a new plugin, but I am unable to use the same. Right Click on the toolbar and click Unlock the Toolbar .. Make sure the Plugin Toolbar is enabled to show .. When you enable the Plugin toolbar to show on the mail toolbar, drag it so all of the enabled plugins are visible .. To work with BBCode plugin, you need to select a Textbox .. Such as this QuickReply box and click on the BBCode plugin .. All the common BBCode tasks will be added to the Add Reply text box ..
