I think it's pretty nice for the price, although just about the only thing I can upgrade is the RAM and things through USB. Darn. I just realized that there's no Firewire for an external Maxtor HD.. But I can't find a laptop with those specs or better for that price. No, it dosen't have a DVD+R/W. I copied it wrong. I edited it though. Callaway
what's the fascination with Dell? they're expensive and heavy as hell. IBM I can understand due to their warranty policy.... imho, yes it's a nice laptop for everyday work. biggest concerns would be: battery warranty keyboard layout (don't laugh...) flakingbiscuit
I guess i'm not gonna buy it because I have no use for it, except that it'll help me be on the computer more than I already do since it's portable. Also, I have bought so many things for my desktop computer that i'm on now that can't be transferred to the laptop (TV Card, Firewire Card, and a bunch of USB stuff). I think i'm gonna get a nice fast desktop computer because it is easily upgradable and all of my peripherals will work fine in it. When it comes time for college (2 years) then I'll get a laptop. -Jason
