It was recently pulled from the grave, so give it a little while to clean up :)

Also, watch Gates' keynote tomorrow. That's all I can say.

what is that picture at the top of the sidebar? is it the users log in image thing?

and what is going to be in all that space in the sidebar? is it just there for rss feeds or is it going to do something else?

This is NOT beta 2. But it is from the beta 2 branch and has SOME beta 2 features in it.

Yes, I cannot stress enough the fact that THIS IS NOT BETA 2. Like threedaysdwn already said, it is just a branch of Beta 2 that includes some of the fixes and updates that the official "Beta 2" will include. As far as the sidebar, it was recently brought back onto the table after being scrapped during internal testing. It could take it a little while to develop into what we can expect to be included in the final version of Windows Vista.

And I also have to say I can't wait until this Pre-Beta2 build is released to testers. :)

Finally Microsoft, you've taken the final step to create a very functional shell (like 2000) and combine it with Aero, to create one hell of an enviroment.

Looking forward to this!

I don't the persons who take these screenshots, you are showing us screenshots of stuff we already have an idea of or have seen somewhere in a screenshot or we need better screenshots of.

No screenshot of the Start menu

No screenshot of MovieMaker 3

No screenshot of the new Solitaire
