stgeorge
So has Microsoft put away their collective bong and deigned to support RAID in Vista yet? I am betting not. This will be a major problem by the end of 2006 as most computers will have RAID enabled by default and Windows won't even support them. Right now, it doesn't even give a comprehensible error (as of Beta 1) it just blue-screens when it detects a RAID after installing from Windows XP and rebooting. Very nice customer experience. Also, apparently all the old 3.1 icons are still roaming around (according to Brad Wardell's latest set of screenshots, where even he complains about that) and the new Aero has a Windows 95-style close button on the system-common File Save dialog (how pathetic is that). I'm not even sure if Microsoft is paying attention to what a mess they are creating.
AMDMEFX-55
It sounds like a driver prob to me. Give it time its a beta.

It's a BETA!
ClintEastman
If it was perfect it wouldn't be in beta now would it? Let them bloody finish it first and then moan if you?re not happy. It really amazes me that people are moaning about the Vista Beta having "Unfinished bits".:wacko:o:
f4af_billy
stop moaning, its still in beta. if your so dam bothered about it being so crap, write your own OS
stgeorge
It's a beta, then you mean nobody's reported this problem yet? Don't you think MS would get around to including a driver so people with RAID can test the system or would you rather wait until Final before finding out you can't install it? And then wait to find out that your motherboard manufacturer wants you to buy a new motherboard cause they aren't supporting "old" motherboards in a "new" operating system? THE WHOLE POINT OF A BETA IS TO POINT OUT BUGS AND PROBLEMS! Geez!
