0 username
well if you just have a CD-RW drive, you will gave to go with VCD (mpeg1) or SVCD (mpeg2). Depends on the quality of the divx, its its an entire movie on one 650mb divx file than go with VCD, if its really hight quality then go with SVCD. www.vcdhelp.com has a good walkthrough, check out the noobie section on divx conversion
0 Parasite
yea, If you have divx's and you want to watch them on your dvd player u'll need to encode them to vcd/vcd format. I recommend you encoding it to vcd. a 650mb divx will take about 2 cd's in vcd format and svcd will take about 3. Make sure you have good cpu power :p or ull be encoding for a while. IF you ripping straight from DVD http://doom9.org/ has great guides. There is another way to watch divx's on a big tv by using a tv-out video card. But i dont recommend it. 0 Xe|oN
You don't recommend watching divx movies via tv out on a video card? I do it all the time and movies look great :)

0 Parasite
well it can be good if you got a good the right hardware. But on mine geforce 2 mx400 the quality isnt as good as watching it on the computer monitor. But only thing i hate is you have to use your pc. Im in my room trying to watch a movie with tv-out and my computer is hell loud.
