To reply to you all, they haven't added anyone new for this build that I know of. It's still the same testers as Beta 1, the tech beta testers. The Tech Beta testers, as I'm sure you all know by now, are limited to people like MVPs, previous testers, and some other testers who have performed very well in the past. As far as I know, they are going to start the rest of the testing with Beta 2. Don't feel left out, you'll all get a chance to test Vista soon enough ;)

That's not true, as long as you have "Windows code name "Longhorn" and IE 7 Beta" (Site ID: 4) - the test for the main userbase audience, listed in Microsoft Connect you should be getting the build.

Please make sure you've scrolled to the bottom of the downloads page as the download is located there (instead of the top), if you still don't get it, then e-mail the beta manager about it: Paul Donnelly (pauldon.at.microsoft@com) (fix the e-mail address yourself).

On Connect for me right now it says "Windows code name "Longhorn" and IE 7 Beta", as you said, and that's the Tech Beta. When they used to have the "Details" link on the participation page you could click that and it would say it was the "Technical Beta Program".

However, yes, if you have it on the page, you have this build. That's not what what I was replying to though, I was replying to being in the program at all. Except for maester_xen, if you're talking about not seeing the build, look again, it's at the bottom of the downloads list. If you're talking about the beta program in general, then it's because you just weren't a tech beta.

Like I said, as far as I know right now, there still is no program other than the tech beta, which would make sense since that's how they've done it in the past.

just curious, how did you guys find the drivers for vista?

cuz i don't seem to find any :(

Use what comes with Vista or XP drivers. XP drivers don't always work, but it's what they're telling us to do for now. A lot of them do still work though.

I meant the drivers that come with Vista on the DVD. It comes with some drivers already, not many, but some. If you have a device that it doesn't install automatically, try an XP driver, or else you're just out of luck for now.

MSDN subscribers are always the last to get stuff. (other than Visual Studio)
