How does IE do this?

Recommended Posts

www.fenderforum.com is a site I visit often. I dont know how it does this, but it always remembers my username and password. Even if I restart, clear cookies, clear history, clear temp internet files etc etc etc. it ALWAYS remembers. I've tried everything. I want to login with a different name, but this is preventing me from doing this. Cookies? Autocomplete? How is it doing this?

I?d say that Autocomplete password thing is broken and not clearing your passwords, then spyware might be it, how about third-party apps that remember passwords for you do you have any.

How about if you use another username, or login on your computer make a new user account it should not remember anything.

Edit: Cookies have you tried manually deleting everything in your internet temp files, tools >> internet options (general tab) go to ?settings? & view files / view objects delete everything

It's not my computer, because this happens on my other one, and my old one. No 3'rd party apps.

Autocomplete is disabled.

I tried to make another username and PW, success, but like i said I cant login because this is preventing me.

Maybe it just saves your IP address in a database...:))

Like I said, this happens with the same username and pw on all my computers.

My computer is also assigned to have a different IP at each startup. Whats that called again? Static?

Ok then I was thinking a dirty cache somewhere ,,

I got no idea then, perhaps your IP is logged, in that case try using your ISP?s proxy or any proxy really. Other than that I?d say you have gremlins in your house.

Yeah, that's a local address... but your internet IP address is the same everywhere, right?

Try www.whatismyip.com on all your computers. It should give you the same IP address everywhere.
