Anyone put 5219 on a Domain?

Recommended Posts

I joined my domain, and I am a domain admin, however I still don't have local admin rights. I even added mydomain\Domain Users cpuname\everyone

Still if I log in with my domain account, no local admin rights. Any ideas?

Is this something to do with Least User rights or something, can it be turned off?

Has anyone been able to Join a domain and have local admin rights?

Did that, still no luck. Also everytime I logoff and on, my profile gets reset.

I cant believe MS would over look something as bad as NOT being able to join a domain and have local admin rights. There is nothing special about my domain, windows 2003.

well it is beta after all. Phone up microsoft and ask them, if you shouldnt have the software, neowin is no place for such topics.

I understand its Beta, (and yes I do have the software legally) But its hard to Beta test when you cant run it as your desktop to do day to day tasks. With no local admin rights, and my profile being wiped, I cant do that. I was thinking someone on here might have a "trick" to get it to work until the next release.

Get out of this thread and go sit in a corner.

I managed to put the actual Beta 1 onto a domain with no problem. Not tried with 5219 yet, but can't see why it would have been changed or broken inbetween those two builds.
